Teija Hammar works as a senior researcher at the Unit of ageing, functioning and disability in National Institute for Health and Welfare in Finland. She has a Master in Science (Nursing) and Doctor in Science (Health Economy). She has special interest in ageing population’s and their needs for help and services, quality and integration of health and social care services and end of life care. She has been involved in many nationally and internationally research and development project in the area of health and social care, especially home care and quality of care. She is a country trainer of PACE “Palliative Care for Elderly People” a collaborative research project funded within the EU FP7 Health programme (FP7/2014-2019, under grant agreement n° ).
